At Makeweb, excellence in application (providing the best overall system to our customers) goes hand-in-hand with responsibility and accountability. We deliver what we promise and we take responsibility of our services.

Penetration of technology

We are convinced that only a fraction of those New Zealand businesses that could benefit from trading online have actually embarked on such an adventure yet. We feel committed to draw on our international experience in order to help more New Zealand businesses getting started with eCommerce. We believe that the 2 primary barriers have so far been technological and financial. It has been much too difficult to open an online webshop, and it has been much too expensive. Our mission is to bring eCommerce to all New Zealand businesses by:

1. Removing the technological barrier for starting and running an online webshop, and
2. Removing the financial barrier for starting and running an online webshop.

Social responsibility

At Makeweb we feel that we, as a successful New Zealand business also have a social responsibility beyond merely providing employment. The more successful a business, the higher the social responsibility. Therefore, we have chosen to support cancer research with a fixed amount for each paid-for full webshop licence.
